These terms are between you and the person or organisation running this deployment of RaceSlot. Creating an account, or signing the desktop helper in, is how you accept them; the privacy policy is part of them.

RaceSlot registers you for an iRacing practice session, withdraws you again, and queues a session for later. It is invite-only and free of charge; there is no payment, no subscription and nothing to buy.

RaceSlot never registers, withdraws or joins from a server. Every one of those happens on your own PC, in the iRacing client you signed in to yourself, carried out by RaceSlot Agent when you ask -- with a tap on the phone, a press on the overlay, or a session you queued in advance. What the server does with iRacing is read: it signs in to the iRacing website with a read-only sign-in to show you the series list and the session times, and it changes nothing there.

The helper updates itself from this server while it is idle. Running it means running the code this deployment sends it, which is the same server that already tells it which sessions to register for -- but it is worth knowing rather than assuming.

• Access is by invite only. An invite code is for one account, and the account is personal: one person, who keeps the password to themselves and does not lend the account out.
• The iRacing logins you name in RaceSlot must be your own. A registration made through RaceSlot is a registration made by you, on your iRacing account, with everything that entails there.
• You are responsible for the PC the helper runs on. Anyone who can run programs as you on that machine can act on your account through it, because the helper keeps its token there.

RaceSlot presses the buttons; you carry the consequences on iRacing, exactly as if you had pressed them yourself. In particular:

• You remain bound by iRacing's own terms and by its Sporting Code. A registration you do not turn up to is your no-show; a race you withdraw from late is your withdrawal.
• iRacing does not let you withdraw from a race in the last 2 minutes before it starts. RaceSlot measures that deadline on its own clock and refuses to enter a race, or to switch away from a held one, inside it -- but the deadline is iRacing's, and iRacing's own clock is the one that counts.
• Race registration exists only where the operator has switched it on. Where it is on, a race is entered only when you confirm that specific race, and a queued race is attempted 15 minutes before its start. A race is a scored commitment on your account; a missed one costs you what iRacing says it costs.

• Do not use RaceSlot to circumvent iRacing's rules, its Sporting Code or its terms, or to do on iRacing anything you could not properly do by hand.
• Do not act on anyone else's iRacing account, or try to reach anyone else's RaceSlot data, sessions or queue.
• Do not probe, overload or attack the service, and do not try to get around the limits it imposes: one held registration per iRacing login, at most 20 actions an hour, and a kill switch the operator can throw.
• If you find a security weakness, tell the operator before anyone else (the support page says how).

RaceSlot is provided as it is, free, by one operator, on one server. It is not promised to be available, fast, or right. In particular:

• A tap or a queued session may not result in a registration -- the PC may be off, the client closed or at its own sign-in screen, the helper stopped or in dry run, iRacing may refuse, or the helper may fail to find what it is looking for. When that happens RaceSlot says so in its own words rather than pretending; it reports success only once the helper has seen iRacing's own confirmation.
• The series list and the timers are read from a web page, every few minutes, and may be stale or wrong. Nothing here is a schedule iRacing has promised.
• The service may change, pause or stop at any time, and the operator may switch every write off at once.

To the extent the law allows, the operator is not liable for a session you missed or entered, a wrong session, a no-show or a late withdrawal on iRacing, a lost rating or safety rating, a race result, downtime, or anything else that follows from using or being unable to use RaceSlot. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits a liability that cannot be excluded under Portuguese law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, and nothing here takes away a protection the law of the country you live in gives you as a consumer.

• You may delete your account at any time from Setup (Delete your account), or by writing to [email protected]. Deletion removes the account and everything filed under it, as the privacy policy describes.
• The operator may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used against iRacing's rules, or that puts the service or other users at risk, and may close the service altogether. Where it is reasonable to do so, they will say why.

The version and the date at the top change whenever these terms change in substance. The operator will tell account holders about a change that matters before it takes effect; continuing to use RaceSlot after that is accepting the new version.

RaceSlot is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations, LLC, and “iRacing” is their trademark. It is named here only to say what this product works with.

These terms are governed by Portuguese law, and disputes about them go to the courts of Portugal -- without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections, and the courts, of the country you live in if you live elsewhere in the European Union. A consumer in Portugal may also take a dispute to a consumer arbitration centre; the operator will name the relevant one on request.
