The helper, the overlay and the app.

All three are built and running for invited accounts. Each one below is a live reproduction you can press, so you can see how it works before you ask for an invite. The season calendar is open to everybody.

On the racing PC

The helper does the clicking, in your own client.

It sits beside iRacing on the machine you already race on. Your favourites, a queue, and the one thing RaceSlot will never do from a server: press Register.

Try it -- the rail switches panes, and a series row opens the join popup.

Nothing is registered on this account. Click a row to join a practice.

A simplified picture of an older layout of the Windows helper, not of today's window. The current rail is Series, Queue, Pitwall, Overlay, Activity and Settings, with Account at the foot, and the real window has more on every one of them than this draws. Drawn in this page from the same design tokens. Not a photograph, and nothing you press here reaches anything. The real one is a Python program on Windows.

Over the sim

You do not alt-tab out of a session again.

A strip the size of a notification sits in the corner of the screen the sim is on. Rest the pointer on it and it opens: your favourites, what each one's practice and race are counting down to, and one press to be in.

Try it -- rest the pointer on the strip, then pick a car.

The overlay as it appears over the sim — the strip is 268×34 and the panel 720 wide, the sizes the Windows helper really draws, and those countdowns are running. Below 760px the rows reflow onto two lines, because 720 pixels do not fit a phone. It cannot draw over exclusive fullscreen or VR, and it says so rather than pretending.

On the phone

And the same four series, in your pocket.

Four of the app's screens, reproduced here. Your favourites with a countdown each, every series iRacing lists, what you have queued, and where you set it all up.

Try it -- tap the tabs, then tap Join a session.

The app at 360, drawn from the same tokens the real screens use. Drawn in this page from the same design tokens. Not a photograph, and nothing you press here reaches anything. What it is not is a signed-in account: the four series, their cars and their clocks are the same made-up four the two demos above use.

How it will work

  1. Install the helper on the racing PC

One line pasted into PowerShell, from the Downloads page once you are signed in. It sits beside the iRacing client you signed in to yourself and connects outward — nothing to open on your router.

  2. Star your series, name your car

The list is iRacing's own Official page, read for you. Say which car you take in each; you can still change it at the moment you join.

  3. Press it, from wherever you are

Phone, series list, or the overlay. The helper brings the client to the series, picks the car and presses Register — and answers you where you pressed.

What it will not do

RaceSlot never registers, withdraws or joins from a server.

Every one of those happens on your own PC, in the client you signed in to yourself. To show you the series list and session times, RaceSlot signs in to the iRacing website with a read-only sign-in — this deployment's own, or the one you added on Account — and it does nothing there but read.

It is invite-only, and there is no public sign-up.

Creating an account needs a code from whoever runs this deployment. Ask them for one, then use Create account — the code goes in on the same form as your email and password.
